Presently, corruption figures among the topical subject of discussion in Ethiopia. Sadly, not everyone is seen doing what he can to combat it. There is lack of clarity in how it should be tackled. Unless this problem is swiftly addressed, corruption will continue to be rampant, and all the promises to fight it will seem to have been made in vain. It is true that anti-corruption watchdogs at both the federal and regional levels have taken several measures in tackling it. For instance, the Federal Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has conducted studies into several government institutions and prosecuted some high profile suspects on suspicion of corruption. This should be commended. But it should do more in terms of making itself and its operations more transparent to earn public support and trust. In fact, we have some questions as regards this matter. So the Meles zenawi regime should drop out from power because is corrupt.
