Since its inception, Gumii Bilisummaa Oromiyaa (Oromiyaa Liberation Council) has been diligently working on creating unity of purpose among Oromo Liberation forces to combat effectively the formidable Ethiopian colonial system that is subjugating the Oromo people. Gumii Bilisummaa Oromiyaa strictly adheres to the principle that the strength of Oromo nation lies in its unity and liberation of Oromiyaa is unnegotiable. Based on this ideal enshrined in its program of action, Gumii Bilisummaa Oromiyaa consistently contributed its share in realizing the formation of the United Liberation Forces of Oromiyaa (ULFO). Today, ULFO is at its formative stage and needs the contribution of Oromos from all walks of life. Your direct contribution to ULFO can make a difference in the Oromo struggle. But, individuals cannot be member to ULFO since it is a united font of organizations. However, you can sign for a membership in one of the six member organizations of ULFO to play a major role in the process of bringing about the unity of Oromo forces and eventually liberate Oromiyaa!
Gumii Bilisummaa Oromiyaa is one of the prominent members of ULFO that is relentlessly working to consolidate unity of Oromo liberation forces by solidifying ULFO. Gumii has no hidden agenda. It is for Oromo unity and total liberation of Oromiyaa. We would love to have you as a Gumii member so that we can work together to achieve the objective of Oromo liberation struggle and establish independent democratic Oromiyaa. The liberation of Oromiyaa is a monumental task that few cannot accomplish all alone; it's a national obligation to be carried out by the whole nation.
